Fresh Merch, a next-generation merchandise platform, from Fourth Floor

At Fourth Floor, we’ve always known that high-quality merchandise is a vital part of the content creator ecosphere. But, being an agency built around a deep empathy and understanding of creators’ needs (not to mention those of their audiences) we always knew that when we built our own merch service, we were going to do it differently.

That’s why we’ve spent much of the last year developing and evolving Fresh Merch, our own, bespoke merchandise platform. Not just an online store, not just a merch catalogue, we designed Fresh Merch to be a full-service consultancy, design, retail, branding, fulfilment, and customer service experience, that puts our clients, partners, and their communities at the centre of the whole process. Brand identity, personality, content, and community come above and beyond all else. As such the Fresh Merch Marketplace is more than just a highly converting e-commerce platform.

While at base level it provides a fully indexed and tagged directory of all of our creator partners, merchandise, and product types, it’s also designed to function as the gateway to a network of entirely bespoke, fully-curated, content creator retail spaces, each infused with their unique personality, audience culture, and creative history. Tailor-made to feel entirely self-contained and personally crafted - while existing as part of the larger Fresh Merch family - each creator’s page acts not just as a product selection box, but also a robust, legitimate pillar of their broader online presence.

Pages can be fully customised with creators’ favoured video embeds, dynamic product preview photography and artwork (with roll-over videos incoming), and any kind of personal, written content a creator might like. If, for instance, a partner wants their store page to double up as a historical wiki for their content - detailing the exact episodes, jokes, and memes that inspired individual pieces of merch - we’re fully equipped to make that. The Fresh Merch site is as much a community hub, fan celebration, and audience onboarding area as it is an online store. In fact we have so many customisation options that so far no single creator has been able to use them all (though if you’re up for the challenge, do let us know).

Beyond the storefront, we’re also doing things differently in our client services. Our in-house art and design team are ready to craft and collaborate on any bespoke design idea from scratch, ensuring that all merchandise ideas - whether apparel, or something more bespoke - are entirely personal, unique, and meaningful to client and audience alike. We also have some very exciting initiatives to announce soon involving guest artists, brand collaborations, and some very special ranges that will expand the scope of our output yet further. Our product lines are all about celebrating the creativity of everyone involved in the process, and that’s a notion that’s only going to expand as we grow further.

Our channel analysts actively work with our partners in order to identify breaking opportunities on a day-by-day basis. With intimate, data and insight-led understanding of both a creator's content and their community, we're able to spot and capitalise on immediate, overnight memes, fast-developing trends, and larger seasonal and cultural merchandise opportunities alike.

We're not a merch shop. We're a proactive, product development and design service fully equipped and focused for a content creator's precise needs. Combine that with the most robust and personally customisable online storefront platform around, and we like to think Fresh Merch is a heck of an offering. There’s a lot more to come this year. We’ll be bringing you some big announcements over just the coming weeks, in fact. For now, you can check out the current state of things over at freshmerch.fm, and we’ll of course keep you posted on everything else right here.
