Fourth Floor are now the proud owners of a woodland habitat

Walking through a forest or woodland can be good for the soul. Even just the sounds can boost wellbeing, according to the National Trust. Sadly, UK woodlands have declined over the years, and that in mind, we wanted to do our bit. So Fourth Floor have teamed up with Co-forest, and are now the proud sponsor of 1/4 acre of future woodland in the Bristol and Bath area.

This carbon offsetting project will allow us to plant young saplings across an area of reclaimed land, which will then grow with us as a business over the coming years. This pledge means that Fourth Floor will be growing a legacy of natural beauty and fresh air within our local community.

Under the guidance of Co-forest, we’ll be planting the right mix of native woodland trees, at the appropriate times, with the correct placement to join up ecological corridors and boost biodiversity. Once planted, everything will just be left to grow into a natural UK woodland space. We may even plan a clearing for annual spring flower planting!

We can’t wait to get down there in the next couple of months and start digging, planting and being at one with nature. All we have to do now is find some orange wild flowers and give our space a name. Fourth Forest? FForest? (Okay, this bit is going need some time…)

Find out how Co-forest can help offset carbon for your business and help encourage natural forest regeneration in your area.
